<p>Thursday is the last T20I series India will play at home until the 2024 T20 World Cup. While Rohit Sharma and his team are getting ready to play Afghanistan in Mohali, the players are suffering greatly from the harsh winter in North India. The Indian squad has been practicing at Mohali’s IS Bindra PCA Stadium, although they are wearing beanie hats and warm gloves.</p>

<p>On Thursday morning, the BCCI released a video with the Indian cricket team players discussing their feelings about the chilly Mohali weather.</p>
<p>Here, it is very chilly. I just finished playing cricket in Kerala on a domestic level. The temperature was high, similar to what May and June bring,” Rinku Singh said in the video.</p>
<p>Since it’s hard to grip the ball in the mist and dew of chilly weather, Kuldeep Yadav acknowledged that wrist spinners would find it challenging.</p>
<p>It took some time for my body to acclimate to the cold. The ball’s poor grip was a challenge for the spinners. We’re not accustomed to playing in this kind of weather, so it will be difficult, but we’ll be prepared, Kuldeep said.</p>
<p>Arshdeep Singh and Shubman Gill, two local boys, made jokes about the temperature, although the later acknowledged that it was indeed cold outside.</p>

<p>Axar Patel, an all-round player, humorously described the situation in the meantime.</p>
<p>“It’s not as cold as this even in between that in Gujarat, when the cold is at its peak and the season is over better,” Axar said.</p>
<p>At the press conference, head coach Rahul Dravid even showed up fully clothed. He acknowledged that Indian players won’t have many opportunities to practice together before the T20I World Cup, and he stressed the importance of their mental toughness in the lead-up to the major tournament in June.</p>
<p>“We gave the ODI World Cup priority after the most recent T20I World Cup (2022). However, we don’t have many T20I matches left (ODI World Cup),” Dravid said at the press conference before to the game.</p>
<p>Thus, this T20I World Cup is a little unusual in that there isn’t much time to be ready for it. We must depend on the cricket we already have and, to some extent, on the IPL,” he said.</p>
