<p>Samra set a world and Olympic record with a score of 469.6 to win the yellow medal, while Chouksey finished third with a score of 451.9 in the eight-woman final.</p>
<p>China’s Qiongyue Zhang, who won the silver medal with a score of 462.3, prevented what could have been an India one-two.</p>
<p>Prior to winning the final, Samra qualified with a total score of 594 (out of 600), breaking the previous Asian Games record. China’s Xia Siyu took first place due to having the highest inner 10 scores (scores that were closest to the target’s center).</p>
<p>Chouksey qualified in sixth place with a score of 590. Manini Kaushik, on the other hand, came in at number 18 with a score of 580.</p>
<p>With a qualifying score of 1764, the trio won the silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle three position event.</p>
