ISL Transfer News: Mobashir Rahman Joins Chennaiyin FC on Loan From East Bengal FC

<p>Mobashir Rahman, who was signed on loan from East Bengal FC to play for Chennayin FC in the ISL 2023–24 season, will be the Marina Machans’ representative.</p>

<p>Following their collaboration at Jamshedpur FC, the 25-year-old midfielder’s transfer to Chennaiyin brings him back together with coach Owen Coyle.</p>
<p>The 57-year-old was all praise for the midfielder, who was added to the squad from Tamil Nadu to give them more alternatives in midfield.</p>
<p>“Rahman is a fantastic talent who has shown himself for Jamshedpur FC and East Bengal FC at the highest level,” Coyle said.</p>
<p>He said, “I know his quality on the field because I worked with him previously at Jamshedpur.”</p>
<p>The British player said, “We are thrilled to work with him for the remainder of the season. He is a valuable addition to our midfield.”</p>
<p>The midfielder, who was born in Jamshedpur, was ecstatic to be joining the South Indian team and to get the chance to work under the 57-year-old once again.</p>
<p>Rahman expressed his excitement at joining the two-time ISL winner Chennaiyin FC and his anticipation of working with head coach Owen Coyle once again, who has previously assisted him in helping him progress.</p>
<p>Throughout his 83 ISL games, Rahman has scored twice and assisted on four more goals for his teammates.</p>
<p>The player said, “I hope to give it my all for the team, working hard every day to help the club achieve its goal for the upcoming season and make our fans happy.”</p>
<p>On January 11, CFC will play their first match of the season at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubneshwar against Punjab FC as part of the Kalings Super Cup. The Tamil Nadu capital city side’s second match of the month is scheduled to take place against I-League powerhouse Gokulam Kerala. On the 21st of the same month, the club will play Mumbai City FC to end their group stage in the competition.</p>
