Wrestlers who are protesting wear black bands and refer to the day as "Black Day"

As their agitation reached its 18th day, the protesting wrestlers and their supporters donned black bands and dubbed Thursday a black day.

Black bands were worn as a symbol of protest by Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Satyawart Kaidyan, and Jitender Kinha, who all tied them to their foreheads. Some of their followers also wore them on their arms.

The WFI leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is wanted by the wrestlers after being accused of sexually abusing multiple female wrestlers, including a juvenile.

The BJP MP is the subject of two FIRs from the Delhi Police, including one under section 10 of the POCSO Act. The MP has vigorously disputed all allegations.
